I saw this movie at church in 1971 at the age of 5. Five! I had nightmares for years. The makers of this garbage should be shot!

@ThoughtTraveler The same as mine. Scared my us to death. As a five year old, it made me think that one day I would have to be in the army and that I would be tortured by Russian soldiers.

This scene contradicts lots of what Estus Pirkle said in the movie. THe kids have their ear drums punctured so they can't learn about christianity but another scene in the movie has the kids being taught that Communism is good. Really weird, but Estus Pirkle was heavily exxagerating what the real soviet invasion would be like--which would be much worse than this

What were the other people's reaction to this film in the church. I know you were only 5 but I was just wondering. I was only taken to a Lutheran Church growing up (b. 1968) and they never showed these fundamentalist films.
