Organic chemistry nomenclature: How to determine whether a stereocenter has R or S stereochemistry--i.e., how to name the "absolute configuration" of a chiral carbon.

These videos are offered on a "pay what you like" basis. You can pay for the use of the videos at my website:

For a printable document containing the systematic method discussed in this video series, go to my website.

For a list of all the available video series, arranged in suggested viewing order, go to my website.

These videos are designed to help students who are finding the material difficult, so I go very slowly, with lots of repetition and examples. If you don't find this material difficult, you might be very bored by these videos and might prefer to learn straight from a textbook.

  • howard walowitz! from engineering to chemistry :))

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • This guy needs to be working at one of the top universities, getting paid bank, he definitely deserves it more than the douchebags that are currently teaching.

  • Thank you so much

  • This is what a REAL o-chem teacher should be like. The others can stay with their research, but for the love of God stay out of the classroom if they can't/don't want to teach.

  • Thanks man a lot, you helped me in many things I just couldn't understand in OCH, now it's much easier and I find it interesting :). Greetings from Slovakia :)

  • Keep up the good work!

  • @Bob8199 HAHAHAHA coming from a guy who's favourited vidoes of chicks with big boobs with comments like you'd like to fuck them, you sir aren't exactly the best judge at how smart this young generation is.
