I saw him in Concert in Cleveland, Ohio April 1 st, 2011....and your right.. He still looks fabulous and sings wonderful, wonderful.. I should know, I had a front row seat.....heeee. Brought tears to my eyes...What a thrill for me.. Long live Johnny Mathis !!

Johnny Mathis começou a amar as músicas do Brasil quando aqui esteve cantando com o nosso saudoso AGOSTINHO dos SANTOS, ele descobriu novos ritmos, novo balanço,ele também ajudou aos americanos a conhecer a nossa música. eu vi e ouvi ele dando uma declaração muito emocionante, falando que gosta muito da nossa música e que cantar português ( Brasileiro ) é a melhor língua pra se cantar( entendi que ele quis dizer que era fácil cantar, porque o canto flui, não precisa fazer esforço para cantar.)

I, too, have been mesmerized by Johnny since I was a teenager in 1957 - his Wonderful, Wonderful was the first record I ever bought and I have been hooked on him ever since. He is one of a kind and he never fails to amaze me with his talent. Where did you meet him? I got a hug once outside Westbury; he was kind enough to greet all of us who waited outside the concert.
