Inspired by the Wax Trax Records sound, Chicago-based Seap-A-Tone recorded "Intensify" in 1989 as an attempt to bring a more melodic vibe to the industrial/EBM scene. Much like the classic electronic duo "Severed Heads," which fused music and video, the project consisted of George Thirteen (Vocals/Lyrics) and Stephen Sonnik (Music/Video). This low-tech video was produced long before 'desktop" tech; it was made using a combination of a Fairlight video synthesizer, an Atari 520ST (with crude capture card) and a couple of 3/4" editing decks. This video also pre-dates many of the classic H-Gun music videos, that utilized many of the same aesthetics.
