About the song:
Twilight filmed from Feb-May 2008 and the song was written sometime then.
The song was given to Lee Macdougall, who is a friend of Lizzy Pattinson (Rob's sister) and the Britpack (aka Rob's brit friends for the uninformed fan) and it was performed by Lee in July 08.

Im pretty sure Rob wrote this song about kristen in the earlier days and gave it to Lee to record. Lee probably said that he wrote it to protect Rob. Do you really think he's really going to sell out his friend by saying "oh yeah my good friend Robert Pattinson wrote this song about Kristen Stewart"? Of course he wouldn't. He knows the chaos that would arise from that.
