First off, listen to the comentators comments, not a word about the ACCIDENTAL foot on his thigh and shoulder, grabbing a players leg however.. straight pen, no question. Rules are Rules. And if you were that frustrated, what would you do... kiss him? ... no you'd get edgy too.. if there had been a pen, he wouldnt have lost his rag, and I agree its out of order to do that on a pitch, but what you gonna do if you feel so hard done by.. blatent foul.. give him a slap i say!

Herman has since said he grabbed his leg. It matters not that he has been kicked in pre season. It only matters that the first contact is outside of the box and Tevez makes it by standing on Herman's arm. It is not a pen and the ref calls it right. There is no doubt however that grabbing a player's throat is a sending off and I am surprised the FA have not followed it up.

The respect agenda was launched at this game so lets give the ref some respect .... The contact occurs when Tevez accidently stands on Hreidarsson's arm. It is clearly outside the box. He pulls his arm up, as you would and entangles Tevez's leg. Tevez drags them into the box. Intent? No. In the box? No. The ref is bang on target. No penalty. He turns away, at which point Tevez raises his hand and grabs his opponent by the throat. A sending off offence if the ref sees it and a three game ban.

tevez wasn't given the penalty because he stepped on hreidarsson's arm? if tevez stepping on hreidarsson's arm was a foul and the ref saw it, he would've called it. but he didn't so play carried on and we know the ref was 3 meters away from seeing hreidarrson grab tevez's leg.

i assume you dont play football and haven't had someone pull you shirt in a corner, see the ref wagging his finger at you and the ass that kicked you start mouthing off at you calling you a cheat.
