This is what happens when you buy poorly made reloads at a gun show in Glendale, CA for shooting at a tactical match shoot. STAY AWAY FROM AMMO BROS. RELOADS!!! You've been warned.

  • XD's are just fine and I believe far more ergonomic to the Glock. Go read the springfield XD torture test, it out glocks the glock. On a side note this was my first IDPA many years ago. Dills makes a good point. The vast majority of shooting videos I see on youtube are complete fuckwads pretending they know what target acquisition and point shooting is. Gimme a break. That is all.

  • LMAO @ airforce.

  • Glocks don't typically have the same issues with reloads in most cases. I would take those things to the range and fire a few mags to see if you have any problems. They're certainly not high quality rounds but again, fire a few and see what happens.

  • Hey, did you notice that when his firearm failed to shoot, he didn't do the "Cover, Tap, Rack, Boom"? That's 1) Take cover, 2) Forcefully tap the magazine to ensure it's seated properly, 3) Rack the slide to clear out a possible jam and load a fresh bullet, 4) Fire the gun when safe. Just curious...

  • This was actually a problem I was having before this video was taken. The rounds weren't being fed properly because of the barrel ramp. They would just spring up and the slide would come out of battery. Barely pulling the slide got it seated properly, thats what I was doing throughout the entirety of this video. But your protocol would be the correct one if we were to get technical.

  • I go to Citidel Gun & Safe here in Las Vegas for my reloades. They Sell Cases of the .40 for cheap. Never had one misfire or jam in my xd40. But for carry I only pack the good stuff.

  • I hear ya, I think in all honesty my current XD was a lemon. I bought it 2 months after the XD's were first released and had to send it back to Springfield for repair. A little polishing of the barrel ramp and the new melonite finish for free and not one hiccup since.

  • Most IDPA and pracical pistol shooters reload their own stuff. Typically, they go with the "lightest" loads to increase their follow-up shots and reduce recoil. Then, they put a light recoil spring so it will cycle the slide. Thus, they sometimes crank the powder charge SO low that some rounds fail to fully cycle the gun and the spring isn't strong enough to lock the slide back into place.

  • @esh325

Exactly! As a fellow reloader. Nobody shoots my reloads except me, and only in my guns. I don't care if it's my father! It's common sense.

  • Why would you risk destroying your gun anyways with somebody elses reloads. Not smart.

  • @SilkVerb i would have to agree on this point .. gocks are like brick.. "i have one " g23" they are good guns but the xd is well fit for the hand.. and is just as good..

  • @SilkVerb agreed, i havnt found a glock that fits my hand, all the xd's ive tried fit perfectly, which is why im buying one exactly like the one in the video tomorrow

  • All i use is Ammo Bros. reloads for my XD .40 and i have never had a jam or misfire or misfeed and i have shot almost 2000 rounds through it..and they were all ammo bros reloads. Your gun was clean before you used it in this video correct?

  • alot of times some gun ranges will sell you refurbished ammo

  • @boostimalaka1 correction, NYPD passed the xd on reliability, but it failed because they dont make the NY1/NY2 trigger set ups that glock does, on the long trigger pull they require. Also yes, always stick to factory ammo if you want reliability.

  • Some of those failures were obviously jams, not bad primers or ammo. The depth on reloads are guesstimates... the glocks looser feeding ramp and tolerance helps to compensate for that... and the XD's higher bore axis and tighter mechanics are prone to jam up reloads with ding up rims and dent casings.. I'm from the hood and i know this... hope that helps.

  • its so easy for all you trolls out there to knit pick this mans style and form..... answer me this losers were are your videos showing you doit properly? huh? huh? i thought so !!!! my advice to all that want to leave a critisizen comment try this your self first....then andd only then talk junk
