Drilling in 1.5" hole into the exhaust to make it sound a lil better and give better performance.

  • I think it was a 12 inch extension

  • Thanks for the post. I did this to my 950 and the bike sounds awesome now. I still don't like the 2-in-1 exhaust look, but it will have to do till I can afford to put some Cobras on her.

  • Yeah, it's good enough for now until I find some exhaust that I really like, cause right now there's not much in the way of exhausts for this bike (non that i've found).

  • I've been noticing the sound getting louder, the more i rode it. The performance is noticeable. As for the gas milage, lately it's been up and down but that's because I've been driving to work with this bike as i worked on my other. I work in Manhattan so there's been a lot more of city riding vs. highway riding.

  • maybr itd the camera but to me it sounds weak. i removed the baffles from the vstar stock pipes and they sound way better. When i ride people turn to look cause of the loud sound.

  • thanx Bentsi1

just got my bike on Sat. started with a rebel 250 08, then v star 08, and now an 09 950. Now I have a project for this weekend.

  • WHAT SIZE IS THE EXTENSION BIT THAT YOU USED.

  • Doin' this after i get home tonight

  • Did the same to my '09 v star 950 and the piece broke off inside the exhaust, visions of a service fee came to mind. Attempted to use magnet on wand to take out but it just would'nt work. Turned her on and revved is a couple of times and it spit out the cut out...don't have anyone stand behind it when revving... ;-) Any one know affordable way to add additional lights onto V star 950?

  • go to your dealer, they are all over the place, or look at cobra slashdowns
