Third in a series of magic with a message, by magician and motivational speaker, Dan Trommater. Sign up for his monthly newsletter at http://www.TrulyUnbelievable.com I do a fair amount of traveling for my career. It's pretty amazing how easy traveling has become. In the mid-1800s, it took months to get across the continent via wagon train. Dangers such as robbers, hunger and bitter cold plagued pioneers. Now, scarcely more than 100 years after the Wright brothers made their historic flight, we think nothing of the fact that we can get from Toronto to Los Angeles in 5 short hours. Many people even think THAT is too long and complain when the temperature on the plane is not just right! It's all about perspective. We can't control many things in our lives, especially things like flight delays and cancelations. But we can control how those events affect us. We don't have to let adversity get the best of us. I challenge you to see delays and frustrations not as obstacles, but as opportunities. As you sit in the airport waiting for your delayed flight, use the time as a chance to catch up on reading, write a friend a note or just breathe and savor the opportunity to relax.
Life can seem full of frustrations, so it's up to you to decide how you will deal with them. You can choose to get all bent out of shape, or you can choose to make the best of the situation - maybe even take advantage of the opportunites.
Amazing !!!
