Wow, I'd forgotten what a great race this was. This was the last era when F1 was a true sporting competition, without any gimmicks like DRS, KERS, having to run two different kinds of tire in the race, etc etc etc.

For me, this was the Golden Age of F1. I really enjoyed the epic battles between Hakkenen and M. Schumacher and it was really nice to see them battle just one more time before Hakkenen called it a day. This time was a really glorious time in the sport at arguably one of the greatest racing circuits of all time.

oh boy I miss old f1 from 80's to 03 season were great (even 02 XD)
This must have been one of Barrichello's most aggressive races in his career. His overtakings of Montoya in the chichane and when he overtook Ralf on the outside of turn 1 was stunning. Shows that he can be a great driver.
Also what a brave thing to do for Hakkinen when he braked so late for turn 1 when he was lined up by Michael. Mika and Kimi were truly fearless drivers.
