for windows 7 you can just hit start and type remote assistance
-
Does it work between 7 and vista?

At 3:51. You are searching and say "there is nothing there". Look at the icons on the upper right side of the window. It says Ask. That will take you there.

@HorNet505 - Thanks for the tip.

so why do you show the long way in Win7 instead of just typing msra.exe in the RUN window?? ;o)
-
ok the easiest way would be to just type "msra.exe" in the RUN window (win+R)

is there a direct way to access the invitation program?
I mean the HELP links to a program or service, doesn't it?
I am just thinking about putting a direct link to the desktop of all my Clients so that the user has a direct access to the invitation dialogue and does not have to go through all the steps you mentioned (Windows 7)
Because even I make mistakes. Never thought of it until the question was asked.
You are correct, the easiest way would be the RUN window. But just as easy to make a shortcut for your user desktops. I am going to implement the same on our IT systems now. Much easier.

Absolutely. The executable is called \system32\msra.exe in Vista. Should be the same in Win 7, don't have access to one now.
