I think the point the pastor is making here, is that peoples' general understanding of the bible is limited because of the lack of understanding many people have of history, biblical scripture, and consequently the interpretation of that scripture. He does an excellent job at pointing out why the general view of scriptural homosexuality is misunderstood, and it makes me happy that someone would put in the effort to shed new light to something that has so long been kept in the dark :)

the bible is not evil, religion is not evil. those who have/are using the bible/religion to bespeak violence, hatred are evil.

right people need to study history to understand to find out the Bible is jes like a puzzle we all have to dig deep for the truth

@heyjeremydickson Great. Leviticus 18:22's original hebrew texts says a man shall not lie in a womans bed, its ritually unclean. It the translators who changed it to homosexuality/gays. Actually the catholic church added the word homosexual to the bible.

Exactly - the Bible is what it is - a compilation of stories, parables, histories etc. It's purpose, generally, was to instruct the ways of Judeo/Christian faiths and to provide the guidelines for compliance within that ancient community. The essence of Christ's message is pure and righteous, but man, compelled by 'human nature' oftens perverts the message to his own beliefs and agenda. I love Christ - it's many Christians I don't care for.
Great video, BTW. Wish more people saw it this way.
