This is the first part of the Election Night Coverage I have from CBS. The tone of this coverage is very Anti-Nixon, but the coverage is still quite good with the calls made a lot more frequently than ABC's coverage.

This coverage is almost 3 hrs worth

  • I keep waiting for Leslie Nielsen to do something wacky in that Ford commercial!

  • @zaius316 Nope this was in his more serious days.

  • Obama will probably get re-elected but it won't be anything like '64, '72 or '84. With the fact he will lose Indiana and North Carolina back to the Republicans pretty well says it will be a close race. Romney is a far better cry than Goldwater, McGovern, Dukakis or MCCain who all 4 of these men had no buisness winning any nomination to be dog catcher much less president. Mondale was a great candidate, just the times were against him as him being VP to one of the worst Presidents ever.

I really don't know what will happen to be honest. I think he could win, but he will loose the swing states he gained in 2008, it will most likely be a close race. But it depends on if Trump decided to run, he could take away enough of the Republican's votes to give Obama a landslide. We will know for sure by May or June.

  • Thanks for putting this on

  • @Michael1966W No problem, I am glad you liked it!

  • This coverage is better than ABC. Better quality.

  • @TheMcCainiac He looks like a reject from the old Star Trek show, lol.

  • @stringbenderE2E except he's pulling up in the polls and beats almost every candidate in the National polls by decent margins. The only one who is close is Romney and he's still leading him by a few points... I would stop watching FOX and reading drudge and actually read statistics if I were you

  • @altfactor

I just wish I could find some of the '64 EN coverage anywhere, the only thing around is a post election wrap up specual, which is of no use. The same with 66.

I do have like an hour of 1968 coverage in color though, it's pretty cool to see
