I'm surprised at the amount of dislikes and negative comments on this video. I kind of expected more from the followers of TED talks...Anyway, surprised no one pointed out it's Franz, not Frans. Other than that, good video!

As a vocal performance major, I really want people to enjoy classical vocal music and opera. TED, please invite some more audience-friendly and talented singers!

First I was not sure if I like it or not. Then I listened to the song interpreted by other singers who are not so off on the pronounciation and now I know I like the song but this here sucks. Maybe Miss de Niesen can sing, but she sure as hell can not sing german.

Listen to Anna Netrebko at the PROMS 2007 that's how this aria is suppose to be sang :) Danielle made an noble attempt, but no one can sing this aria like Anna ;D
