in india no one cares about the word 'negro'.people are abused using other words based on caste system.using the words 'kafir' and 'coolie' in south africa are prohibited but coolie in india means a porter or helper to carry baggage.i think negro just means a person on african origin

negroid is a race, the word "negro" was abused in the united states and hence it became a racist word. it is not so in countries which do not recognize racial superiority (colour) and hence not a racist word.
