  • just to add.... ask actors never to cross dialogue, one must finish line before other responds (for clean edit points), never show lips of actor with back to camera(again edit of dialogue is easier) and try to avoid 'ping pong' in the edit, break it up a bit use reactions and cutaway shots (as you say) shoot a couple of face close ups, to cut in as responses, viewer will interpret empathically adding thier own meaning(it works) record 30 secs atmos. sound in each location for patching noise
