In this tutorial, I explain how to photograph a water drop, that has falling into a pan of water, and as it bounces up from striking the water, "CLICK" It is frozen in time forever, looking as though a crystal ball hovers over glassy looking water, with the rippling effect!

  • @gatineaujoe Really nice work mate. Even the ones of your cat were cool :)

  • @SimplisticMind Here is a link to my set of waterdrop pics on Flickr. The filenames that start with "cimg" were shot with a casio 10megabit compact, the others with a canon rebel XTi flickr.com/photos/gatineaujoe/sets/72157622759249986/detail/

  • Excellent video, thanks for the effort.

  • @gatineaujoe Can you post them so we can have a look please?

  • Thank you. It is a great tutorial.

  • Going to give this a try tomorrow with a Nikon D5100 and 180mm Tamron or the 90mm Tamron.

  • Wow.... Fabulous

  • Great tutorial and easy set. Thanks!

  • fuck nikon....

  • Sorry, but your tutorial is outdatet, your setup ist quite simple...

Ok, your setup is cheap (the pan, the bag, the reflector), but to get amazing results you have to spend some money. Your drops are a little bit boring.
