Majority Leader Reid Speaks Before Historic Health Care Vote

Moments before taking a vote on The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Senate Majority Leader spoke on the Senate floor about the importance of passing a sweeping health insurance reform bill. "This morning is not the end of that process; it is merely the beginning. We will continue to build on this success, to improve our health system even more, and to further ease the terrible burdens on American families and businesses," said Reid. "But that process cannot begin unless we start today. The American people and the American economy cannot afford for us to wait for next time because there may not be a next time."
