  • This guy is an IDIOT!!!! Go to your local CHIROPRACTOR! Anti-inflammatory drugs or steroids wont correct the BIOMECHANICAL disruption that's causing the disk to be degenerated!!!!! duh

  • I had a posttior fusion done from the back on my L-4 and a Decomotonomy on my L-5 in 2009 im still in pain today cant bend over 100% had a cage put in. never again will i go threw this shit. i was 44 then and im still stiffer than a 2 by 4 now. the pain aint real bad butt some days i feel great and other days i feel like shit. i have scoliosis also found out after surgery was done because i was curved alittle after surgery. trust me when i say open back surgery with cages put in is hell.

  • sounds like voodoo

  • Nerve pain is unbelievable painfull. My right leg feeels like it is shattered and I have to wear a brace for foot drop. When I feel my thiegh it feels like I'm touching someone else. The pain I had before the surgery was keeping me from doing my job and my Dr. Told me the surgery would fix my spine so that I could keep my Job. Now I'm completely disabled and my life centers around my pain. Please everybody fusion surgery is not a good option.

  • Please don't ever have a spinal fusion surgery unless your Dr. Agrees to sign a contract saying if the surgery makes your condition worse he will give you all his worldly posessions then please find another way to cope. I've heard many people say the surgery didn't help or made it worse. My Dr. Put a screw in crooked and stapeled me closed. I walked up in horrable pain and numbness and now I'm disabled for life.

  • Since this video was made, a new method of treatment has emerged - rhGDF-5. This involves injecting a growth factor (rhGDF-5) into the disc in an attempt to reduce pain and even regrow the degenerated disc. Currently in a trial phase. Google BACK PAIN RHGDF-5

  • Im not going from a nerve block or epidural streight to sugery ! thats crasy

  • @pantherleal I have now had an operation in the last 3 weeks, I was admitted to hospital here in England and was out the next day. I had what is called a 'diskectomy' to reduce the size of my damaged discs. i have no former symptoms as I recover from this surgery. I hope you get sorted soon 'cos I know how bad it can be.

  • @wallysafc10 Im a 25 yr old male and i actually found out today that i have this. I injured my back when i was in Iraq and it hasn't been the same ever since but i didnt think too much of it. It sucks.

  • Would the pain be more , say-at rest or when moving -thanks.
