the reason nothing caught fire with the flame wall is because of something I like to call, "RPG Logic"

its the law that lets you break in and enter strangers houses, use whatever outrageous attack you want without damaging your surroundings, and its the force that transports you to the exact same arena every time you enter a random battle.
