I also bought a plane catalina and it was necessary to change all the eletronic parts, radio, receiver, motors because I let drop water into the cabin. I'll try now with the bruschless motors and tri blades propeler like you did.

Does anyone know the size of the stock propellers? Im thinking of getting wooden props to make the catalina louder, any thoughts?

Best bought from US where prices are much lower than UK. The Guanli PBY stock is a little under power and very wind sensitive.

guys any ideas if i buy the catalina stock without the upgrade, where i can get the brushless motor and lipo's and what exact ones i need.. and if i do infact actually need the upgrades or the stock fly's fine, i live in jersey the channel islands so i have to really buy everything off the internet no model shops really over here for this type of thing, so could somebody write down some internet sites for me, cheers!

now on nitroplanes they come stock with brushless and lipo! think maybe this would be good for the land of 10,000 lakes LOL
