It's 7:30 in the morning on May 3 2011, just ten days away from egg hatching out. The adult female does most of the incubation, but here we see her take a short break and our adult male taking over. The raking early morning sunlight clearly shows the nest as being a very simple, shallow scrape in loose gravel.
