@SuperGeniusLife You are not right. I personally captured this videoclip of the planet Saturn using my dedicated telescope and my webcam Philips Toucam II Pro. Please note that the image sometimes shows "tremors" caused by turbolence of atmosphere. A photo could not show the atmospheric turbolence!

My telescope, like most modern telescopes, tracks the celestial objects by means of a electric motor,

@kgpatrick21 the rings are stunning..but i have often wondered...how beautiful would earth be to observe from another planet? a lush blue and green oasis with ever changing cloud formations...we really do forget just how lucky we are!!

@gustavowabo. The magnification of telescopes comes from their focal length. In my case, it is 8000 mm. When you attach a webcam (like my Philips 740K) to a 8000 mm focal length telescope, you get a "equivalent magnification" that is close to 2000x.
But, since most telescopes hasn't such a long focal length, you can put a "barlow lens" to increase it. It's easy and cheap. For example, consider a Celestron CPC800

@darksuperk95 In this period (second part of 2012 february) you will see Saturn in the easter sky after midnight. It is, at the present time, in the constellation of Virgo.
