Memoirs of a Teenage Mother

This is my story captured through video and pictures. I am a teen. I had my beautiful daughter when I was 16. I wanted to show another side of teen motherhood. Not all teenaged mothers are horrible mothers. I just wanted to share my story through pictures and videos. I hope you all emjoy it.

@MeganWHS Thank you so much Megan. My daughter just turned three last month, and we are doing wonderful. Being a young mother is EXTREMELY hard, and no everyone can do it, but I am doing the best I can. My girl is happy and healthy, and I love her more than anything in the world. I had my daughter at 16 also and wouldnt change anything, she is so amazing and makes a bad day the best day with just a simple smile andgiggle. People need to stop judging teen mothers saying we rely on our parents to raise our kids and govenment for money. My parents have not ever paid a cent for my baby and i worked my butt off my whole pregnancy so I could get maternity benefits(i live in Canada) the only money i get from the government is child tax and every mother gets that no matter age.

My mom was a teen mom; she had me at fifteen. I am totally blind, and I must say that I would never trade her for any other mom. She has always been there for me, and she has stopped at nothing to give my little sister (who has cerebral palsy), my brother, and I the best. We argue like any 16-year-old and their mothers, but I am honestly proud of her for all that she has accomplished. Throug her, I've seen that teen mothers /can/ and will make it, if they really have the drive to do so.

To all the other pregnant teenagers out there, please remember that you have the right to choose your future and no one can tell you different. If you feel like you have no future without a child, you DO have potential, don't throw it away because you want to grow up too fast.

I'm thankful that I've had the right support and information to make the right choice, which is not to have a kid at 17. Abortions are very simple procedures, and a right that no one should take away...
