KING's CUP KART RACE: Kurt Busch; Kasey Kahne; Denny Hamlin; AJ Allmendinger; Reed Sorenson

The inaugural King's Cup - "Karting for a Cause" charity event took place May 19th, 2009 at "The PIT Indoor Kart Racing" in Mooresville NC. The King, Richard Petty himself, was on hand to wave the green flag to kick of the 4 hour endurance race. Kurt Busch, AJ Allmendinger, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, and Reed Sorenson were among the drivers participating in the event.

The silent auction and go-kart race benefited the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). PVA has been around for over 60 years and helps injured/disabled service men and women of the United States Military. Altogether the King's Cup charity event raised more than $60,000 to benefit PVA.
