  • @foul01 i mean in compared to blake. yes hes streaky and goes for his shots but because he uses more spin he has more margin for error on his shots. verdacos groundies are good its just he doesnt have a flat big first serve and he can serve alot of doubles..

  • @AceGuitarR7

"solid" is not a word i would use to describe verdasco... don't watch the highlights on youtube, they tend to leave out the errors, watch any full match by verdasco and you'll see how crazy his unforced errors are...heck, even when he was a top 10, he was serving the most double faults

  • @foul01 yeh but gulbis is not ranked very high.. and verdasco uses alot more spin. blake hits it really flat and his back hand is very vunerable where as verdasco is quite solid of both sides

  • i remember seeing blake play when he was like 18. thought this guy was going to be big, win alot of slams.... but his game just didnt mature at all.

  • @foul01 What an ugly style much prefer hewitt, nalbadian, djoker, crafty players who can hit big when they have too.

  • @MrDestruction25

    didn't have the consistency

there are plenty of players like blake, player who gambles on shots and hit either winners or crazy errors (verdasco, gulbis...)

blake simply cant maintain the same form for 7 straight matches to perform well in slams

  • so sad james blake setteld just too be the good nigga and side kick of andy roddick he could have won a slam.Shame.

  • @incredibleXMan It's also a shame that the stubborn and focused element of his mind also kept Blake from changing his game and tactics on the court.

For such a smart guy, he played dumb much of the time, just scrambling and hitting as hard as he could, and trying to hit winners of first serve returns. The top players generally had little trouble figuring him out on the court, and , barring him feeling it that day, dismissed him routinely.

  • nadal was pushing out of his mind..lol

  • @gugalpm hahaha
