I went to the yoga workshop or "The Pendleton Yoga roundup just this Friday, Saturday and today. He was leading us through meditation, which was such a relief. He asked us does anyone know what your mat symbolizes when your on it? I wanted to say sweat and tears from bending like a pretzel. Finally after like a dozen guess he said "conflict". He was like "you guys are so responsive"...lol! Yeah so he's worth meeting if you ever get the chance.
Thank GOD that Masters and sages make mistakes. If it was required that we all be perfect to realize our true nature as Infinite Being, well would YOU qualify.
Its my concept that God alone has created yogis who make mistakes - even terrible mistakes, SO THAT we may see and understand that TRUTH is available to even the greatest sinner - (not that I think sin is anything other than an idea)
But who am I to comment? Just another imperfect aspect of God - containing the whole
I have seen him last June at his ashram and will do again this October.
He did not perform any postures for us, but his lectures turn my life around.
He is facsinating and his daughter Kamini is the most beautiful, smart, charismatic and gracious woman I have not met in the long time. G-d bless them both.
The posture flow video was filmed at Kripalu, and Amrit hasn't taught there for at least 14 years. So he was probably in his 60s. Still seems to have the old charisma... hope he's behaving himself.
He is not the doer. It is the prana. It is all prana. Jai Gurudev.

This is a beautifully made video. I really depicts in 5 minutes what Amrit Yoga is all about. I can watch it over and over again.

He is an amazing guru, a wise spiritual being, and human as well. He continues to teach and encourage me towards enlightenment.

Jesus Christ! I have been doing astanga yoga for 4 weeks now. I know that I am awareness/consciousness but Amrit is flexible as a rabbit! cool!

Naturally he's agile. It's been his livelihood for 40 years or so. See he's
reassembled an adoring throng.
