Rio Grande trips in 1954 and 1956 riding the line from Alamosa westward. Ride in a caboose behind the engine for much of the 1954 trip getting great views. Also take the Silverton Branch with a rare diesel helper. Narrow Gauge country at its finest includes pacing a doubleheader south of Alamosa in addition to the riding footage. Shot on 8mm color film by Warren W. Scholl. Copyright Greg Scholl Video Productions.

  • wow that footage at 0:24 is extremely rare that was back when D&RGW #476 was lettered "#7" there is barely even any photos of this locomotive lettered as #7

  • Pretty neat, Greg!
