A quick overview of what I had to do to get my shotgun to a little more of my liking. Cut the barrel to 18.5" then removed all the ribs on top of the barrel.

  • Thanks man for the vid

It was exactly what I needed

  • @gabrielle0869 Your welcome!

  • nice job, I want to try doing this to a benelli super black eagle field barrel to turn it into a tactical monster so I can have a semi-automatic 3-1/2" tactical shotgun for home-defense. I'm gonna get a magazine extension for 10 rds and then cut down the barrel to as short as it can be while still being legal (depends on how long the magazine extension is because the barrel has to be further than the end of the mag tube) then I'm gonna drill and tap the receiver for a ghost ring sight.

  • @drewnickel DO IT! post a link if you go ahead and tape it. I love seeing DIY, anybody can buy stuff!

  • Looks pretty good bro! Let us see how it turns out after you blue it.

  • @Okiesheepdog No thats your area of expertise!

  • I'm a sucker for these how to videos. Awesome job, btw and we're all cheap bastards deep down inside.

  • The vent rib is silver soldered on to the barrel. A propane torch with moderate heat will remove the rib. ( less than 500 degrees F) The torch will not harm the blueing as much as the grinder though I recomend refinishing anyway.

  • it was pretty easy.
