Here's a little video for a bug report regarding a minor issue I'm trying to help track down with the Beta 2 release of Ubuntu 10.04. This appears to be an issue with some (probably very few) AMD64 installs of ubuntu 10.04.

  • If you're actually running ubuntu on a mac, ......I'm just..speechless..why would you do that..

  • @hooper287 Your speechlessness inspires a symmetrical verbal absence from me....

Okay, I'm past the lack of commentary...

OSX is great, it's also nailed shut and while it can be opened up, I'm a bigger fan of the philosophy behind Open Source in general. I have a few macs, because I like the hardware and occasionally use OSX. But all my machines non-macs included run Ubuntu (or another distro) 95%+ of the time.

  • I don't have such problem on my hp cq 45. I'm also running x64 ubuntu 10.04. The bug I have is that I can not change mouse themes. Any ideas?

  • @zhoulingyu I haven't tried in a long time.. Last time I changed mouse themes, it was a fairly trivial process, but it did involve the command line.. Google is your friend!

  • i think you might need to reinstall the setting from the package manager that might help (like you would install screen saver but for themes.)
