@M33rkatmanorftw normal mesh or twill, not leather.

@M33rkatmanorftw hi! Quantums are discontinued, so, even if you find a pair, there is little to no chance that you'll find more of them. Get lavers, and get used to them - you can get them consistently, worldwide. They're a good shoe. Thanks for stopping by :)

i just bought a pair of nike classic suede. was reluctant to mod it..because the fabric is just too nice..i laced the on like how u showed.it made a world of difference!good thinking on holding the eye lids up..but i still gotta cut a lil on the bottom parts.
NICE WORK!! THANKS!
Great vid! How important is it to cut the first eyelet? feedback from anyone would be nice

@tapionmytrunks Try it without cutting the first eyelet, and see if you like it. I think it makes your toe stalls cleaner to cut the eyelet. Some great players leave the eyelet on, some great players take it off. If it feels like your toe stalls are sloppy and imprecise, maybe take off the "training wheels" (eyelets).

and matt how much of a difference does removing the outside layer make? would it be much different if i just left that layer on for twills?

@ChrisDokProductions removing twill, to me, equals a more grippy, less bouncy, more sensitive surface.
keep the twill on until the shoes look dirty and ugly anyway, then try them without it. or you could just take my word for it (anti-Lavar-Burton).
