@yanishine5555 I'm not sure if this is still the case, but back when this was made the appeal of j-pop idols was that they weren't great singers. The thinking being that if they were too good, people might find them too intimidating. However if they aren't perfect, then they are more relatable. As for their dancing, well... idols just do what they are told. This was their first #1, and the group weren't very well put together. People liked them for their image more than anything.

Is this tied to the movie Summer Wars?

hm... i like the recent generations more =X

They are so popular in japan, but i really don't find them talented...they don't even know how to dance and their voices are not good enough to be a singer!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ 0:54 NEVER PUT MARI-SAMA NEXT TO KAORI IT'S LIKE COMPARING MOMOKO AND YURINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and the kpop discussion is because After school made a Korean cover of this song (it's called Dream girl)
BUT KPOPPERS, remember that this song really was released in 1999.
Which is ten years earlier than After school's version....music culture and fashion was 'a bit' different back then. SO STOP COMPARING. Jeez.

@ania0the0amazing This was released 9.9.1999 (Morning musume's 7th single) And it was a huge hit back then....if you look it up they still sing this song in all their concerts. This is pretty much Hello!Project''s theme song of all time :D

OMG! ancient Morning Musume was so cool! this song is a bit weird for this age, but I see how they got to be so popular :D They are all so pretty <3 and this song is full of so many different shots!! OMG! you cant get bored of seeing this :D
why is K-pop even a discussion here? I lke k-pop more than j-pop and 2ne1 is my favorite girl group but I came here to listen to Momusu. Morning Musume was around before your most beloved k-pop girl groups had even reached their double digits or teens so get out of here with that.

@SuperIlovesnsd I personally prefer Led Zeppelin. What is your point?
