  • We can stop this. It starts with the girls, show them a different way. Show them women who respect other women. Show them we are more than the sum of our body. It is up to us to be the change we want to see. Stop buying the clothing, the make up, stop watching the shows that demean women. We have to be the change we want to see...that is what this is all about.

  • Mis-Representation may be the most ironic but appropriate title for this film.

Are the following names recognizable? Elio Fiorucci, John Galliano, Annie Leibovitz, Vidal Sasson, Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, Mel Zeigler, Tom Ford,Pasolini, Dolce &Gabbana, Versace,Lauren, Halston, Guccio Gucci, Christian Dior, Mapplethorpe, Armani,Yves Saint Laurant, Marc Jacobs- It seems the entertainment/fashion/arts industry has an key internal conflict and more than a little in-house cleaning to do

  • One of the ways to rise above it would be not to reflect what's seen in the media

  • who control the media?

they are more dangerous than terrorist! coz media reach you wherever you are!

  • THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!

  • @paradigmdashed Beautiful people in adverts, not sex kittens!

  • i think women are more destructive to each other and themselves, regardless of what's in the media. women will compare themselves to other girls anyways! i think it's ridiculous that it's supposedly the evil men's fault. "when will it be enough?" is right! if a woman was elected president this upcoming election, would this argument fall to the wayside? if there were more women than men in the congress, the argument would simply flip, it wouldn't be that all is right in the world becausewomenrule

  • the media exploits, demeans, and criticizes men and women alike, women rights activists are saying that the media needs to change in order for women to have more self confidence why are women relying on the media to teach young girls about self image and confidence? people want to see beautiful people in advertisments. simple as that. and there are a lot of men out there who don't objectify women for their body's only, intelligence and drive is attractive.

  • @F5bobcat NO is the most powerful word in the world, yet women are taught not to say it in order to be "the good girl". I hate it!

  • I see that interview of Sarah Palin as a perfect opportunity for change. Had she responded by saying "STOP! That is a demeaning question. It demeans you as well as me, as it is blatantly sexist." Can you imagine the headlines? Sarah Palin Says No to Breast Question, Sarah Palin calls Breast Implant Question Sexist! How can you go wrong? It can't be spun in a negative light! Women in power need to stand up and say NO! Why is it NOT OK to make racist comments, but fine if you make sexist ones?

  • So are we to believe there is something amiss when a woman chooses to be beautiful? I don't think this is anything new...males are compelled by instinct just as women are. A smart woman can be powerful, a physically beautiful woman can be powerful, and a smart, beautiful woman can be twice as powerful. We're not going to change the instinctual impulses that women can create, we can only change the way we think of them and that's normally a reflection of their own self-respect.
