  • whoa! hold on, don't you what "the shit" means? if not, it means, in your words, "one great player!" If you had read the entire post, you would have figured that out. don't think I haven't seen "sweet and lowdown," and loved the music in it, just to name one. I know his discography well. Now, I don't know much, but I do know a little something about jazz. I daresay, even if you think otherwise, that we are in agreement as to the genius of Dick Hyman!!!

  • speechless! the fatha is playing through him. Hyman is the shit!

  • sounds like four people when he sings

    @ Earl "Fatha" Hines

I THINK you all might kinda like it ....

  • Super jazz !

    :-)

  • the hands don't play the piano, the brain does

  • But what if your hand aren't coordinated and fast enough to do that?

    I'm so uncoordinated, sigh.....

  • IMO Hines is one of the greatest greatest. Hyman doesn't get real close to what Hines could do, because he was so unpredictable in his playing.

  • It's not fair. His hands are big enough to play tenths.

  • For ragtime stride you could practice just the left hand on an easy Scott Joplin song. Or just play as much music as you can with LH
