Boyer/Bowyer/Boyette was one of the most legitimate athletes in pro wrestling. He earned a spot on the 1964 Olympic team in judo.

Funny how wrestling was back then. Bill Watts owned a part of Georgia Championship Wrestling. This is why you see Gordon Solie at the end. Wrestling 2 defeated Ernie Ladd in Atlanta Feb of 1979, for the North American title.
Wrestling 2 was so over that Georgia continued to show his matches in Mid South.
This match was held in Shreveport, La.
Mr. Wrestling 2 would come into Atlanta to defend the title.

Awesome post. This was the first wrestling I ever saw back in the day. Right before it turned into Mod South. But where was this taped? Please post more from the this pre mid south organization.Also Mr. II had a great series of matches with Bob Sweetan in this building do you have any of those?
