And they said he wasn't soloable!
Well some night elves and rogues did it, so why not a warlock?
As I don't have enough dps to kill him before (so close!), the trick is to reset the fight when he does his tidal shield (which causes him to become immune to damage and slowly regen his health for 45s).
No need for shadowmeld/vanish, warlocks have the most brutal way to reset a fight, which is dying! (and hopefully resurrect via soulstone :p)
With good rez timing (too soon and his shield won't fade, too late and he will evade), you can resume the fight and kill him before his next shield.
I used a 0/31/10 spec, but without the Ancient Grimoire talent (the doomgard can mess up the boss resetting timing).
