I am American. Just commenting mainly about baby boomer and youth. Europeans love model trains, Marklin, LGB...great companies. Most young adults in the states don't even know what a train is.

The public interest isn't that big in Germany, either. In Canada, I was helping a club during their last open house, we were filled to the brim, we almost had train collisions because we couldn't get around. In Germany, there are more exhibitions, which is pretty much why people visit them more - the public interest isn't that different. Saying that Americans are only interested in video games and cell phones is just another stereotype. Not to mention, a lot of art goes into video games as well.

Yes. But you have groups of people visiting this everyday. Its not the train clubs I am concerned about...I know they like trains. Its the mass public interest. In europe the public as a whole appreciates things like this.

Stop stereotyping. There are many model railroad clubs throughout the US, it's not that hard to find one in your area.

It's simply fantastic. I've never seen a model of any kind come to life as realistically as Wunderland. You have succeeded in making a real world, magically. Wow! : ) Someday I hope to visit it.

I'm an American, and I am more fascinated in model trains than cell phones. If I had one.
