Charge Up Sweet Hill - Hosted by the CRMS Bike Team
CRMS has a series of accumulative scored athletic events that take place through-out the year that highlight the many features of the CRMS Active program: biking, climbing, skiing, kayaking and running. Anyone can participate in these events and a good spirited competition is had between the students vs. faculty/staff to benefit our service clubs. The first race of the season was up "Sweet Hill", a grueling two and half mile course up the steep road behind the school. This ride is not for the meek, but competing in typical Oyster style were all types of bikes (road bikes, mountain bikes, cruisers, tandems and a Interim created three wheeler). Every level of athlete took to the hill, from bike team beast to students on borrowed bikes who had never ridden up the course. This year leaving all competition in his dust was Cormac McGeough. Everyone who participates is a winner. GO OYSTERS!
