  • i know there is a gear selector for descending gradients (i have a P38 4.0 SE), but is it considered "hill decent control" ? cause the dealer demonstrated going down a hill in Arizona without using the brakes, but i'm really not sure whether it's made to do so.

  • @Porsche1080 Hill Descent Control is mostly for vehicles that don't have a low range gearbox. The P38 has low range, and the "sport" button when low range is selected becomes a "lock in this gear" button. So if you select Low 2 and press the Sport button, the car will not shift up or down out of 2, Who needs HDC with low range and Traction Control? Cheers, Paul.
