Rene Splinter - Tower of Babel ("unplugged")

On November 28th 2010 I had the honour to perform at Rene Maagdenberg's opening of the exhibition of his artwork, at gallery Kunsthuis Secretarie, in Meppel, The Netherlands . For this event, I performed my latest work called "Tower of Babel" on a digital piano only.

The track "Tower of Babel" will be available as an electronic version on the new Groove sampler "The Dutch Masters" (available on http://www.groove.nl).

Hey Rene, fantastic performance. It would be nerve-wrecking to be so up close and personal to an audience. Looking forward to the electronic version!

@k2kkoos Nah, not really :-) . Well, to be honest, when I play, I don't really see anything else around me, as I am probably too concentrated on my performance. It's probably because performing is still quite a new environment for me. But at the end, the thrill of performing is a great feeling.

Yes that's true, I had a great time at my 'mini concert' a few years back. If I had more time, and opportunities , I'd be 'gigging' more often :-) Great painting by the way to your left, I like its concept and colours.

Was surprised when i heard you'd written a piano piece as its "Different" shall i say to your usual style. But i thought it excellent. I really liked the section from 2.48 onwards with the rolling arpeggiations. Like the melody.
