This is the best pier in the UK now - superb and a guaranteed tourist puller. They have pumped millions into WSM, a re-done Cabot bar (5 floors now), the island, the causeway, but if only they could open up Birnbeck Pier and runs ferries across to Cardiff. Uphill church is worth climbing to - to see the sunset there is awesome. In the churchyard (on the side facing Wales and by the wall) is the grave of Det Supt Frank Froest of Scotland Yard who helped catch Crippin. It is superbly etched too.

Weston Super Mare has great potential,and the investment in the new pier is fantastic.Hopefully more investors will follow with the development of the old tropicana site etc.I know I will never meet the new pier owners,I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for saving the pier.This will breathe a new lease of life into Weston,which it has needed for a long time!
