I take it tshi is set at 4/4? i.e. a hip hop beat wouldn't work with this no ?

Hip Hop still tends to be 4/4, just alot slower tempo than this example (80-100 bpm) so it would work yes. Sidechaining isn't so commonly used with Hip Hop production but try it out... you might find a really interesing unique style of your own!

yes - you need Ableton and Max for Live on your Mac to use it

Very nice! In a future version, I'd love to see a tempo sync button, where the Attack and Decay times are set to "percent of a beat". That way 50% would be exactly an 1/8th note, 25% would be 1/16th, and so on.

hi, i am currently using this plugin with my productions, and it seems to slow everything down....loading samples into ableton ect....theres always a delay or pause loading them in.....there seems to be alot of stuttering going on when using this plugin in my projects...., is there a way of getting round this problem? thanks, matt

Also, when I'm doing things like copying, dropping clips on the channel I have a plugin on, it takes a few seconds to do it.

For me the effect is applied slightly earlier than it should be.

this tool is super useful. yes, its NOT a true sidechain, but YES its totally a quick hack to get the same effect with minimum fuss. super easy. no more making dummy tracks. love it. THANKS.

yeah, you can. and either way it's not sidechain compression at all - just something that sounds the same with straight four on the floor beats.
