I am gratified that I am not the only one who remembers the sensitive acting style of Steve Shaw. He was the best. I didn't know he had died watching the reruns, 'cause I hadn't seen "Knots" before. When I found out, I was crushed. When I was at a tribute to Knots, I mentioned Steve Shaw. You could have heard a pin drop. Michele Lee was very moved, and said "He was a hell of an actor and a fine young man." If I knew where Steve was buried, I'd like to pay my respects. Wayne

I remember this episode.

@MrAccordionPimp No, Steve wasn't replaced, and when he died, Michelle Lee sang a tribute to him at the end of his last episode. It is edited from repeats since it was last aired on TNT.

Wow Eric! Look what you did! That was a great scene. I felt for Michael.

Did another actor replace Steve Shaw? I can't remember.

Look how grown-up they are here! Especially Steve Shaw, he even resembles Michele Lee a bit later.

I thought I remembered Eric and Michael making up, and Eric and Karen having that tearful heart-to-heart. I wish they'd release the rest of Knots Landing on DVD. The first season laid the groundwork, but so much of the best was yet to come: Karen and Mack, Abby, Ciji, Greg Sumner, Paige, and of course the Eric/Michael and Eric/Karen scenes already mentioned.
I don't remember the whole thing but it was very sad that Steve Shaw died so young when Knots was still on the air.
