@qwert6302 with all due respect to Shankar & carnatic music, i wanna say he's a great singer but incomparable to Rahat. Even in this song you can hear the higher & complicated notes that was sung by Hans & Sonu wasn't executed in the same fashion by Shankar. he can sing classical but his voice's artificial, mitti ka taan nehi hain...fyi u can't compare Shankar with Rahat who's learnt songs from his dad the undefeatable Nusrat Sahab...clear cut

Absolutely!!!!! Shankar Mahadevan is both a hindustani and a carnatic classical singer!!!! And rahat Fateh Ali khan comes exclusively from a sufi background!! He too is amazing but
with due to respect to rahat sahab i think Shankar is way ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even shankar has accepted that no body beats sonu nigam in verstality...rahat can sing 2/10 songs. sonu can sing 9/10 songs....rahat can't sing mukesh,mohammad rafi's song no english song,pop...in fact not even straight songs......
