YAY!!! Level 5 attack magic!!! (and really, Meteor Shower deserves to be counted as a level 5 spell too).

It's too bad you couldn't get the 11th star before fighting Fargo, as I believe he can cast the green element Carnivore and if you had 11 stars you could trap it!

I don't believe you can buy Carnivore traps until after the ghost ship sequence. Unless you can win/steal it from someone, but then it's probably a rare one at that.
