The Mutant Factor Trailer

This is my new map "The Mutant Factor" which picks up where "Rescue Mission" leaves off.

Nomad passes out in the VTOL on the ride back from the last mission, only to wake up in an underground facility in the aftermath of a brutal battle. You find out that the infection discovered in "Rescue Mission" has found it's way back this american facility and, while Nomad seems to be infected, his body is reacting very differently. Dr. SHepherd contacts Nomad through his headset and tries to guide him out of the facility through various mutated soldiers which proves to be easier said than done. Along the way Nomad encounters various "visions" and a disembodied voice that may be his daughter gone missing 3 years prior.

This map is a mixture of solids and props to create a creepy indoor environment along the lines of F.E.A.R. and Halflife.

It features:

-New "mind control" power for Nomad made with a custom Flowgraph
-All new storyline with new characters within the Crysis universe
-All new custom voiceovers with professional actors
-Custom environments with creepy atmosphere
-Over a dozen trackview sequences
-Challenging situations
-Custom enemies made with the character editor and Photoshop

@katmckool yeah.. well they made a call of duty of f3ar and only 1st and last levels are realy something.. dont you like butcher bay ? btw "lock-out" movie that comes up april kinda repeats the b.b. story. i agree. crysis is just made for some predator game. even the cloaking system we have !)) ill take a shot and download mod v0.2 .. i ll try to put it trough some virusscan by drweb. for my mod i think to rip predator from avp3 game. dunno where dis guy got it from...

@andrx04 A Predator mod would be fun. There is one on ModDB but the modder insists on using an outside file sharing site rather then using ModDB's own file system which is suspicious to me since ModDB is careful about scanning for viruses. When I ask the modder why he\she doesn't use ModDB's file system, I never get an answer and my popst is removed from the site. Because of this, I will not download the mod nor do I recommend it to anyone.

@andrx04 That's ok. I plan on buying the game soon. I am just waiting for a Steam sale. Thnx for the offer. To answer your question about bugs: There are often show stopping moments in the mod where the designer discovers unintended consequences to their design. Testers play differently than the designer imagines and discovers those flaws. Sometimes AI is buggy and I have to adjust the pathing.

@katmckool there is a beta of F3AR and its interesting 'cos of its high difficulty level which is reversed but anyway . even though it has only 1st level. Im looking for it right now... and could give you it via torrent for example.. its about 4Gb. it has very cool combat system imho

@andrx04 I'm a big fan of the first one, the second one was ok and I have not yet played the third. It is one of my favorites!! Keep your fingers crossed that the beta testers don't find any major issues!

@andrx04 I have just (as in minutes ago) uploaded the latest version for the testers with all of their requested changes. If they find no issues then all that is left is for the custom menu which should not take long but I'm waiting on another modder to make that so I cannot speak for him. Basically the short answer is "any day now"!!!

I am very excited because this is so close and I've worked on it for so long. The testers agree that this version is MUCH better than the demo.
