Seattle TV legends J.P. Patches (Chris Wedes) and Gertrude (Bob Newman) were honored with a statue in the city's Fremont neighborhood. Thousands turned out on a summer day in 2008 to mark this special occasion. This piece was originally produced for the SEATTLE CHANNEL program CityStream by Feliks Banel.

    I was there for that wonderful day. What a loss today with the passing of J.P.. We lost a good one, there. Thanks for all the good memories.
