@MikeDMays You mean right cyclic? If you have a good heading hold gyro, it should take care of the rudder to correct for torque.

@SgtGarand I have heard it is common that on initial take off that you just give alittle right rudder due to the left torque is this true or a bad idea..?

@SgtGarand Cheers. I've now repaired the heli and put all the aluminum upgrades on and then it went back in the box. I bought the G5 sim and have been practicing on that ever since. I still haven't flown the 400 since that first flight/crash.

@frankovich213 All Helis will drift to the left due to the rear rotor blades, you just have to learn to correct for it. But it's always a good idea to level the main rotor before flight. There are some videos on here that explain in better detail. User is Sokal11

I wish my 400 would've taken off like that. I flew it for the first time yesterday but it kept tilting just at the point where it wanted to lift. For some unknown reason I didn't try to trim it out before taking off. When I took off, the heli just went up and hard to the left. It was heading towards some trees and I panicked and just dropped the throttle. It went in to the ground. :(
So far all I can see broken is the main rotor blades, and the flybar, but I'm sure I'll find more.

thats actually the noise of the speed control arming, no biggie, the gyro has a light that will come and you can hear the servo move
Nice job getting a good pilot to check out the bird before flying it! Although I usually have the trainee actually do the flying after I check it out - I find they learn better that way :)

It's the mighty Blade 400. They are good to fly anywhere:) They other guy is too nervous, better let him try the sim at home..
