This is everything I ever expected an aging, declining, gluttonous Orson Welles to be, and more. I'm too young to have known the master in his prime years (or any of his years), but this clip confirms what I've been told. It's like finding out Santa Clause is real. And is endlessly, hopelessly drunk.

Timeless classic - a great upload, thank you.

Connoisseurs and Bon Vivants alike must see Orson's version of "Maahaa the Japanese."

Check for "Nikka whiskey" commercial -- another brilliant (albeit sober) Orson Welles performance (cue fog horn.)

They should have rolled with it, it's brilliant, the wine is so good you will want to get drunk on it

This video rewards the repeated views. Watch the woman on the left. She looks like she's having a very hard time not cracking up, especially after the "MWUAHAAA" part. Signs of a true actor!

I don't really understand why anybody would pity him or think he declined. For starters, he never needed the money from these commercials to get by. He simply did them to finance his own fimmaking because he never got along with Hollywood producers. Second, Paul Masson was junk. The fact that Orson Welles, in the end, humiliated Paul Masson, made off with millions from the endorsement deal, and continued filmmaking is a victory for him in my view.
