Metallica - Blackened (Studio Version)

Blackened is the first song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 4th studio album, And Justice For All. The band decided to use this song as the opening because it was one of the heaviest and best songs on it. Not to mention it is the only song on the album that gives writers credit to new bassist Jason Newstand. The songs lyrical meaning is simply talking about the world turning black and engulfed in darkness. Many fans say that the songs lyrical meaning is really talking about the upcoming nuclear holocausttheyve also been saying that sinse the album came out in 1988.
Many fans also argue that due to this albums immense complexity in lyrics and instrumentalism, the following album was more basic and shorter (Metallica (Black Album)).

i dont understand how people can not like metallica .... i mean everyone i know that doesn't like metallica says its because it all sounds the same... -_- like shit if your gunna say you dont like it say its because you dont like metal or something... but COUNTRY is all the same 1,2,1,2 kinda beat metallica is just pure amazing considering they play a bunch of different styles from classical metal - pure heavy metal (ex. Nothing Else Matters - Master of Puppets) :D
